Established in 1990, Sangam Ispat (India) Pvt. Ltd. is a GeM-registered OEM known for the manufacture of high-quality fasteners, nuts, bolts, and precision-fabricated structures. The unit specializes in module mounting structures for solar applications, supporting India's growing renewable-energy build-out.

Our facility at Plot No.1-B, Sarora, Urla Industrial Area, Raipur runs a complete fastening-solutions stream — from precision-machined hex head bolts and foundation anchor systems to specialty items such as dummy-bar bolts, T-bolts, and rivets for critical applications in steel plants and heavy engineering.

Every fastener we ship is the result of carefully controlled raw-material selection, cold/hot forging, thread rolling, and inspection aligned with IS, BS, and ASTM standards. We supply both metric (MM) and imperial (Inch) ranges, with flexibility for custom lengths, grades and finishes as per project drawings.

From general-purpose hex bolts to project-specific foundation systems, dummy-bar bolts for continuous casters, and matched nut–washer–stud assemblies — all manufactured to drawing and shipped with full traceability.

Hex Head Bolts — Inch Series

Manufactured across the full range from 5/16" through 1.5" diameter, identified by the traditional Indian trade term 'soot' (1 soot = 1/8 inch). Bolts are produced with hot-forged hex heads and rolled threads for superior fatigue strength.

Length range

From 1" through 18", depending on diameter — extensive coverage for structural and mechanical applications.

Made to drawing in BSW / UNC thread as specified by the project.

Trade Terminology — "Soot"

In Indian fastener trade, diameter is often quoted in soot (sutar) instead of inches, where 1 soot = 1/8 inch. So a 4-soot bolt is 4/8" = 1/2", a 6-soot bolt is 6/8" = 3/4", and a 10-soot bolt is 10/8" = 1.25". This shorthand is still widely used by hardware merchants and fabrication shops across India.

Hex Head Bolts — Metric Series

Our metric hex head bolt range covers diameters from M8 through M36, with one of the most comprehensive length offerings in the region. Manufactured to ISO 4014 / ISO 4017 with metric coarse thread (6g) by default.

40 mm to 350 mm as standard. Larger lengths and special pitches made to drawing.

4.6 standard. Higher grades (8.8, 10.9) on request.

Foundation Bolts

Foundation bolts form the critical interface between structural steel and concrete foundations. Manufactured to project-specific drawings — with options for higher strength grades on request.

16 mm to 64 mm (anchor bolts) — covering main structural columns, transmission towers, solar mounting and heavy machinery.

L Bolt

16 – 40 mm dia

Single bend (L-shaped) hooked end embedded in concrete. Suitable for light to medium structural columns, fencing, and equipment baseplates.

Anchor Bolt

16 – 64 mm dia

Heavy-duty bolt with an integral pyramidal base plate at the embedded end and a long threaded projection at the top. Used for main structural columns, transmission towers, heavy machinery, and solar mounting.

FD Bolt

16 – 40 mm dia

Forged bolt with a closed thimble eye at one end for cable/shackle attachment and a threaded shank at the other. Used in transmission-line stay sets, telecom guy-wire assemblies, and suspension hardware.

Application insight

Dummy bar bolts are essential in continuous casting machines (CCM) of steel plants. T-bolts and square head bolts are commonly used in rail, crane, and heavy machinery assemblies.
